🎉🌟 Super Star Reader Alert! 🌟🎉
We are so proud to celebrate our first female student to reach the Super Star Reader milestone — 1st grader Eliza Idrogo! 📚✨
Eliza has read over 100,000 words this year! 🤯💪 Her love for reading shines through in every page she turns, especially when she's exploring the colorful worlds of Eric Carle or going on adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog. 🐶🎨
Way to go, Eliza! You're a shining example of what curiosity, dedication, and a love of books can achieve. 🚀📖 Keep reaching for the stars! 🌟

Today, we celebrate Ms. Olivia Garcia, our incredible PEIMS Clerk and the heartbeat of our school. She keeps everything running smoothly, always with a smile on her face. She makes it look effortless, but we see and appreciate everything she does each and every day.

Whether it's early morning field trips, daily inner-district transports, or late evening games, in all kinds of weather, Vanguard Academy's school bus drivers safely transport our students to the assigned destination. They’re responsible people who enjoy their role as mentors and look forward to the small daily interactions: a smile, a high five, a compliment or hug that can transform a student’s day and set the tone for learning. Give a warm thank you to your campus bus drivers!

This year's Earth Day focuses on the tripling of renewable energy by 2030. Our Power, Our Planet champions solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, and tidal generated energy. Do your part to protect our Earth!

At the end of a busy school day, students are ready to relax, have fun and just be themselves. Thanks to afterschool professionals, they get to do just that in a safe, nurturing environment. Vanguard Academy is celebrating Afterschool Professionals to recognize the afterschool professionals across our district who teach, play and guide students through our ACE programs. We appreciate the hard work Dr. Longoria and her team render each day--rain or shine--to support our students and families with a quality afterschool program.
“Our afterschool professionals play a vital role in our ACE program,” says Mrs. Morales, Vanguard Academy Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and Communication. “They help each child feel safe and nurtured while maintaining a schedule that includes homework time, games, snacks and more.”

Throughout the month of April, Vanguard Academy focuses on providing opportunities to increase understanding and support of the autism community. Let's continue the spirit this week by dressing up during Autism Awareness Week at Vanguard Academy!
